Help Close the Gap
We’re raising funds to enable regional and remote Indigenous patients equal access to the expert care they need at Sydney Eye Hospital. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are three times as likely as non-Indigenous people to be blind or have low vision and they are waiting longer for surgery.
Sydney Eye Hospital Foundation believes it is time to close this gap.
Family support is vital in keeping patients in hospital and accessing care. In recognition of this the Foundation is funding the essential meals, transport and temporary accommodation for Indigenous patients from remote and regional areas.
