MS Study Group
Assessing disease progression to improve treatments
The Sydney University MS Study Group is launching the next stage of research to better understand and treat multiple sclerosis (MS), especially in people living with more advanced forms of the disease.
By using the latest MRI technology, the group aims to uncover how persistent inflammation in the brain drives disability and to identify which therapies can slow or stop this progression.
This research fills a crucial gap and has the potential to improve quality of life for people with MS, including aiding common visual problems people with Multiple Sclerosis experience.
